SWRW carried out a sensitization and mass media communication campaign with a strong focus on trading centers and areas with high pedestrian volumes.

10 trading centers and road side markets were sensitized with the message reaching over 3000 people and 700 market vendors.

4000 reflective straps were distributed to passenger service motorcyclists and car wreckage installations at strategic traffic circles were impactful and featured all over social media.

Evaluation

• Over 90% of the respondents who attended the community sensitization rallies agreed with the messages delivered.
• Over 50% of the respondents reported being stopped by the police and 80% of these agreed with the message.
• Over 50% of the respondents had seen the police "Assistant". Over 70% of respondents agreed with the police "Assistant" objective.
• Over 80% that saw the road signs agreed with the message.
